In case you haven’t heard already, the inaugural Columbus Craft Beer Week kicks off THIS FRIDAY, May 1st and runs through Saturday, May 9th!! During the week, you’ll have the opportunity to celebrate the wonderful world of Columbus beer at over 200 events that are taking place at local bars, breweries, restaurants and retailers across Central Ohio!! Some of the activities planned for this awesome event include specialty beer releases, tap takeovers, “Keep the Glass” promos, and beer pairing dinners. There will also be unique events like bike tours, art exhibits, video game tournaments, home brew classes, inflatable hot tubs, and much more!!
The week-long event will start with a big kick-off party this Friday at the Market District in Grandview Yard, and will culminate in a HUGE way – with an Ohio beer festival called Six One Pour at historic Brewmaster’s Gate!!
For this event, seven teams of local breweries were paired up and asked to brew collaboration beers. The beers will be available at various locations throughout the week, and will all be available for this Friday’s kick-off party and for Six One Pour next Saturday.
Also, in conjunction with the weeks activities, The Columbus Ale Trail will launch THIS FRIDAY, rewarding you with FREE STUFF for visiting local breweries!! As part of the program, passports (aka. The Columbus Ale Trail Brew Book) are being launched in association with Experience Columbus, Drink Up Columbus, Columbus Brew Adventures, The Ohio Taproom and Blue Label Digital. With four Brew Book stamps at any four participating breweries, you can get a free pint glass, and with 20 stamps, a free t-shirt!!
